Download Google Chrome 4.0.266.0 for Windows and Linux

If you thought that the Chrome team was done with the Chrome releases for this week, after releasing Beta version of Chrome for Mac, then think again. Yes, that’s right. The Dev channel has been updated once again. This takes the dev build to 4.0.266.0. The just updated dev version is available for download for Linux andWindows platform. (Release notes included below)

Chrome 4.0.266.0 releases notes

This build brings changes that are common to both the platform along with some changes that are specific to each platform.

Windows

  • Fixed download dialog truncation in German locale.
  • Fixed options panel truncation in various locales.
  • Implement keyboard access between bookmarks and main toolbar.
  • Extensions that use bubbles on page actions work.
  • Proxy settings should now work on newer KDE4 systems.
  • Use SSE2 optimizations in Skia.
  • Initial implementation of the HTML5 sandbox attribute for iframes
  • Copying an image from a web page and pasting into Gmail now works.
  • Spellchecker moved to renderer.
